The Fairest Launch Party and Book Tour

Posted on: 12th Jan 2015  /   Categorized: Events

The release of Fairest: Levana’s Story is only TWO WEEKS AWAY. I’m so unprepared, ha! But I’m excited to show you all this glimpse into Levana’s past and prime your expectations for the series conclusion, Winter, coming this November. Which I’m still revising. *cough*

*stifles panic*

But enough on that! Here is some updated information on the Fairest launch party and book tour!

The Fairest Launch Party in Tacoma, WA

Where: The Tacoma Public Library, Main Branch, in the Olympic Room

1102 Tacoma Ave S, Tacoma, Washington 98402

When: Tuesday, January 27, 6:00p.m.

Book signing tickets will be available at 4:00p.m. in the Handforth Gallery.  Please note that the book signing tickets secure your spot in the signing line following the book talk, but do not guarantee a seat in the Olympic Room. Doors to the Olympic Room will open at 5:00p.m.

Event Details:

Come celebrate the launch of Fairest: Levana’s Story! Marissa will read an exclusive excerpt from WINTER, show off the winner of the Fairest art contest, and sign books! You’ll also have a chance to decorate your own crown, take your photo with Levana’s mirror, and even share your thoughts about The Lunar Chronicles with the rest of the world. Light refreshments will be provided.

Please Note:  We are expecting a large crowd, so please plan accordingly. Seating will begin in the Olympic Room at 5:00p.m. and is on a space-available basis. Additional seating will also be available in the Handforth Gallery.

The Library will remain open until everyone gets their books signed.

RSVP on the Facebook event page here!

(RSVPs are great because they help us plan the event, but it’s not necessary to RSVP, nor will RSVPing guarantee a seat or a place in the signing line.)

BOOK SALES

Books will be sold through King’s Books. All Lunar Chronicles titles will be available and Marissa is happy to sign multiple books per guest.

For a faster signing line, please pre-order your book(s) here: http://www.kingsbookstore.com/event/fairest

Can’t come to the party? You can still pre-order a signed and personalized copy to be shipped directly to you! Click the link above for details.

VIRTUAL LIVESTREAMING

We hope to livestream the event so that fans all over the world can tune in to hear Marissa read from WINTER and answer questions! Follow http://www.thelunarchronicles.com or http://www.facebook.com/lunarchronicles to be kept up-to-date on livestreaming details.

I live right over the bridge from you and will be driving through Tacoma on my way home from work that night at just about the time of the launch party. Wish I could make it, but unfortunately I can’t. Still so excited to read it though and I’ll have to pre-order! Best of luck with the tour!

Hi Marissa! I’m planning on coming to the Fairest Tour in Cincinnati, OH, and I’m so super excited! I have a few questions; is the information for the Tacoma signing the same as for Cincinnati? I was wondering if I can still pre-order my copy of Fairest and pick it up at that signing. Please let me know if you get the chance!

Sylvia: I’m also planning to go to the Cincinnati tour stop. Joseph-Beth Booksellers is really great with pre-orders (I’ve been to that store a few times and their beautiful flagship store is in Lexington, my home-state of KY). Just let them know when you pre-order (I’d recommend calling the store, (513) 396-8960, and talking to a bookseller: they’re always super helpful!) that you wish to pick the book up in person at the event. That way, they can mark it in the computer as a pick-up, not a mail order. They’ll print out a ticket and place it in the book and you can pick it up at the check-out desk near the front/center of the store. Hope this helps! 🙂

    What Lori said! 😀

I’ve also updated the blog post with links to each stores’ event page, which will have additional information on ticketing and pre-orders.

I’m planning to attend the event in Decatur, GA. I went to Kiera Cass’ signing with Little Shop of Stories a few months ago. For the signing line, they gave numbers to people as they bought books and you were called to get in line in groups. That was nice, not having to rush for a spot and then stand there forever. They do require that you buy a book from them to get in the signing line.

Thanks everyone! I went to the link you posted for the signing I’m going to, Marissa, and I bought a ticket from there 😀 One other thing I was wondering about; I heard that (at least at the Cincinnati signing) there’s going to be a Lunar Ball/Costume Contest. Do the costumes need to be “Lunar-themed” or can we dress up like a character? I was thinking about going as Scarlet 🙂

I am so lucky I live in WA.

EEEEE!! Congrats Marissa!! What an accomplishment. I cannot wait to read Fairest 😀 I hope you can come to Canada again for another book signing 😀 Wish I could make one of the signings but maybe later this year.

Will you sell Fairest at the book tour?
