It’s Scarlet Friday and I Come with Presents!
My publisher is pulling out ALL THE STOPS to make Scarlet Friday (that’s today!) amazing and filled with loads of Scarlet Goodness!

My students are going to be thrilled with this trailer when I show them Monday. Cinder is one of my hottest checkouts this year, almost every girl (and a few of the boys) have read it. They’ll be thrilled that Scarlet is on its way. (I watched and commented at EW.com)

Did anyone else see the Apple Cup? A commercial just came on for with a lady dressed in red as a wolf howled in the distance, and I went, “Scarlet?!” Turns out, the commercial was for Droid, but hey. They must be secret Marissa Meyer supporters.

This series has me over the moon (literally), and I can’t get enough of all the cool things you and Macmillan are doing with getting the fans excited for book 2. Scarlet is going to be an amazing ride if the preview and the trailer aren’t enough to amp things up a few notches. Wow! I love the nod to epic sci-fi (Star Wars) and have been crossing my fingers that we’ll see this series in film version as it deserves in the near future. In the meanwhile, I’m loving the books, the online stories at TOR and the fanart, zomg! the fanart!

asdlkfjd;lfj I just finished reading that free first five chapters of Scarlet and I’m DYING to get my hands on the book. Sadly, living abroad, I am not even eligible for the ARC contest nor a lipgloss. Woe!
I’ll just have to learn to be patient, but in the mean time, I am so so so so thrilled with the first chapters of Scarlet, and, um, I am amazed at your ability to write a character like Throne, who, having been so shortly acquainted with him, I find him engaging, unique, and hysterical!

The trailer is amazing! So are the teaser chapters – I loved them! Scarlet is so uniquely different from Cinder. It seems like she will make a wonderful heroine. I posted over at the EW website here:
